Swim Clinic – Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What time should we arrive?

Please arrive just before 9:00 am to check in and be ready for the land-based warm-up, which will start promptly.

Who can attend the clinic?

This clinic is open to all junior swimmers aged 13 years and under. Swimmers of all levels are welcome, as long as they can confidently swim 25m of each stroke.

What should my child bring on the day?

• Togs (swimsuit)

• 2 x towels

• Goggles

• Swim cap

• Gear bag (kickboard & fins)

• Water bottle

• Dry clothes to change into

• Runners for land-based sessions

Do swimmers need anything for the land-based warm-up?

Yes – swimmers should arrive wearing comfortable activewear and closed-in runners suitable for movement-based activities. After the warm-up, they can get changed into their togs.

Is lunch provided?

Yes – a BBQ lunch will be available for purchase. If your child has any dietary requirements, feel free to pack lunch for them.

Should my swimmer bring anything for the goal-setting session?

Absolutely! We recommend bringing a notebook and pen for the goal-setting workshop and to jot down key takeaways from Mitch Larkin’s talk.

Can parents attend the clinic?

Yes – parents are welcome! While the swimmers are warming up, we’ll be hosting a Parent Seminar with a qualified dietitian discussing nutrition and fuelling young athletes.

If i can't make the clinic can I be refunded my money back?

Yes, you can receive a full refund if you notify SWWSC at least 24 hours before the swim clinic starts by contacting 0400 194 889. Unfortunately, no refunds will be issued after this time.
